In the patent, Antibioticos states that thalidomide was first synthesised in Britain in 1949 by a team led by Frederick King, a professor of chemistry at Nottingham University, who worked on secret projects during the war.

As far as I remember from my experiences in the middle eighties at a British university, British professors are paid by the British taxpayer.

Shall we agree that guv’mint is the problem?

I am thalidomide monster but I’m not even recognised in Belgium, where I was born, because my father, a medical doctor, did it on purpose (1) which would have made him a suitable candidate for NHS, I suppose.

Hence, my father was never prosecuted by guv’mint.

Gary now wants money from guv’mint.

However, all money Gary would get from guv’mint comes from taxation and the difference between tax and theft is that the thief does not come back periodicalky, nor does the thief pretend to stealing in the public interest.

It is beyond me how British thalidomiders can argue that by parasiting on such stolen money, they would live in justice and dignity, as Cambridge News reported this week.

Guv’mint is the problem. It cannot possibly be part of the solution.

Ecraser les gouvernements. That is the solution. Go away! Leave us alone!

I was born 20 months after the Düsseldorf 30 April – 1 May 1960 congress of neurologists warning of the dangers of thalidomide.
Thalidomide was taken from the market, not by the regulators who had allowed it in the first place, by its manufacturer on 27 November 1961.
